Olga Botsi's Teacher Profile Page
Discover Olga Botsi's teaching style and pedagogy:
A versatile vocalist specialising in rock, jazz, soul, pop, trip hop , funk and blues, Olga has been a vocalist and violinist since she was 7 years old, participating over the years in classical, folk and rock choirs, opera ensembles, orchestras and musical theatre performances.
Olga’s musical background sets her beyond her 23 years. She has extensive experience as a session singer, as a songwriter and as a performer along with her experience as an ensemble/band leader and violinist.
Upon watching Olga perform one is instantly allured by her expressive vocal and the vulnerable yet tempestuous honesty with which she expresses the lyrics making each song her own.
Her vocals always morph to the feeling of the song sounding from jazzy and soulful, intense and ethnic to aggressive rock vocals which sometimes resolve in a pained scream, showing the influence of artists such as Kurt Cobain,Robert Plant and Billie Holiday as well as Greek and Spanish music.
Having a 3 octave range and having received training in various styles of music along with years of experience, Olga can adapt to a variety of genres and sing in the original style of the piece, improvise or re-arrange a song into something completely new and unexpected.

Reasons to study with me:
Olga is very good at helping people with vocal problems, having suffered herself from nodules in the past,as well as identifying issues that may lead to them!
She has also helped alot of students develop their expression and diversity,by nourishing all the different colors in their voice and using them to become versatile in different music genres, using their own voice and originality instead of mimicking the original artist.
Additionally to the above,Olga has vast experience of working with children and teenagers in a secondary class environment and one-to-one basis. She has helped teenagers find their voice and open their minds to other styles and techniques, prepare for auditions and boost their creativity with songwriting lessons.
