Reasons to study with me:
Making lessons fun and exciting are the most important part of making music and I am happy to teach pupils in any style or genre, whether it be working towards exams or simply playing for enjoyment.
I primarily uses the Bastien books for beginners and try and make the lessons enjoyable by getting pupils to create stories by using the piano. Creativity is essential in developing young musicians and it's imperative to give children the freedom to explore sounds for themselves before drilling scales and arpeggios into them!
With more advanced students I am comfortable teaching about posture, differing techniques for classical styles, improvisation, harmony, scales and chords.
Ultimately I would like to offer students the abilities to be able to have similar experiences I have been lucky enough to have had. With a bit of hard work and patience you'll be playing anything before you know it!
