Instruments that I teach:
I started the cello and the piano at the age of 8 and, despite occasionally being bribed by my parents to practise, loved music from the start. I attended Trinity College of Music to study for my degree and postgraduate diploma. I have performed with my quartet around the UK and abroad and taught music to special needs children in Peru for a few months. I currently teach at Croydon High School, Lambeth Academy, Elmhurst School and Wanstead Music School. I also work in primary school bringing music and stories to life with Everyday Magic. Having worked as a freelance musician for ten years I have now settled in Eltham with my husband and two year old daughter.
Reasons to study with me:
I have worked with students of all ages and abilities and have lots of experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
I am also a trained Kodaly musician, so use some of those techniques in my teaching.
As an arranger I have worked for Duran Duran, Kanye West and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and I use these skills to create the right repertoire for each student.
