Discover Susie Webster's teaching style and pedagogy:
SSusie began singing at an early age, performing in musicals and choirs. As she got older she began to take the route into classical singing and opera, although she never lost her love for pop, rock and jazz. After gaining a degree in Music she won a place on a year-long training course for young singers with the English National Opera. Susie was taught privately by Mary King, a teacher at the Royal Academy of Music who was a judge on the Channel 4 shows 'Operatunity' and 'Musicality'.
After gaining a solid classical base to her musical training, Susie then went on to attend London’s Central School of Speech and Drama, where she studied pop, rock, jazz and musical theatre techniques. For her Masters Degree at Central, Susie wrote a thesis about the diagnosis and correction of vocal faults in singers.
Susie is also a fully-qualified, trained teacher and holds a PGCE from The Institute of Education, London. She is passionate about helping other singers achieve their goals and is an understanding and knowledgeable singing teacher. She also teaches at Eaton Square School in Belgravia and still finds the time to record voiceovers and perform with her covers band The Electric.
