Having just obtained a master's degree from the Guidhall School of Music and Drama, Mishka is a seasoned performer, having appeared widely in Europe and London, and her native Philippines. Now 23, Mishka turned heads in the jazz world at the age of 18 when she released her debut album "God Bless the Child" on British jazz label Candid Records (known for discovering the likes of Jamie Cullum, Stacey Kent and Jaqui Dankworth), which received critical acclaim and displayed a confidence and maturity rarely seen from someone so young. Mishka subsequently received a prestigious AWIT award (Philippine equivalent to a Grammy) for "Best Performance by a New Recording Artist" and an ALIW award for "Best New Artist". Now based in London, she released her second album in October 2007, entitled "Space", and is now currently working on her thrid.
