I began playing the bassoon at the age of 11 after having started on the Flute at age 8. At the age of 13 I began studying at The Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama where I gained musicianship and performance skills.
I began my music degree at Trinity College of Music in 2004 and am currently in my final year. I am studying the modern and baroque bassoon with Phillip Turbett and regularly perform on both instruments in operas, orchestras and chamber groups.
In 2003 I formed a wind quintet with students from Trinity College of Music. We regularly perform in churches and other venues across London.
I have been teaching pupils to play woodwind instruments for the past two years. I have experience with all ages having taught adults as well as small children. I also have experience of teaching in groups as I took music workshops in The National Maritime Museum as part of my degree course.
