Hi,I am an experienced and encouraging teacher of violin, viola and chamber music. My current students are aged between 4 to 90 years of age, and range from complete beginners (both adults and children) to advanced players. I hold many teaching positions (see profile) and can provide an up to date enhanced police check to reassure parents and guardians of my suitability to work with children.

Cecily McMahon is a qualified and experienced teacher of Violin and Viola. She has had a wide range of performing experience, with musicians like Vladimir Ashkenazy, and at venues like the Shostakovich Hall. Cecily has performed all styles from Classical, to Jazz, Rock, Pop and Experimental.

As a teacher, Cecily employs principles from the Suzuki and Kodaly methods, and has helped students to achieve excellence in ABRSM exams. Cecily is culturally educated and has experience teaching students with learning disabilities. She is available to work anywhere in London.

I have many years experience teaching violin / viola to pupils of all ages and standards (beginners - advanced).  I am also a very experienced performer. I adapt my teaching methods to suit you (e.g. following graded exams is good for some people but not all).  I always teach in a positive manner, and seek to ensure that all my pupils enjoy their playing. I can teach at my place or at yours. I have a current enhanced CRB check.

 

Alice has over ten years teaching experience, both in England, and abroad. Alice works both nationally, and internationally as a soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician, and is therefore up to date with the latest techniques from around the world.

Alongside her playing career, she takes a great interest in music education. She has conducted music workshops for children across London, and in schools, including Marlborough College, and Cardinal Vaughan School. 

In her home country, Australia, she was head of Strings, at two independent schools in Sydney.

My name is Sam Rolles. I play the Viola and Guitar (acoustic/electric) to very high standards and have a passion for teaching.

I believe that everybody has got music inside them and it is never too late to get started. I take my music very seriously but believe that one must always enjoy themselves to be able to learn.

I have taught people of all ages and varying standards both in the UK and in Ireland. Having recently graduated from Trinity College of Music I am based in North London and am performing regularly.

 

Principal Violist of the Royal Opera House,Covent Garden is offering professional viola tuition in solo, chamber music, orchestral playing. My speciality is helping to prepare for orchestral auditions, problems with technique (both beginners and advanced players), preparing for grade examinations and competitions.
